About the style 3 Big Ben

The style 3 was the first of the Big and Baby Bens

designed by Henry Dreyfuss.

It was manufactured from 1931 until 1934,

making it the shortest run of the Ben styles.

Model:  1931 Big Ben, Style 3

Made by:   Westclox

Stock No: VINT1918

Features:  The style three was the first model designed for Westclox by Henry Dreyfuss.  Considered by many to be the classic Ben style, although it had the shortest run.  If not for it's run during the depression and that the peg leg style was still being made, this clock may have been manufactured for many many more years.   The movement has a soft ticking sound and a loud alarm.  This is the first Westclox model to feature the "Chime Alarm" movement.  The alarm starts off slowly and then progresses to a stedy ring..

Dimensions:   3 1/4" tall, 3" wide at the base

Condition:  This is wonderful example of the style 3.  The movement has been restored and it runs and alarms as it should. This clock is EXCELLENT overall, showing only minor indications of use.   The original paint and original dial are in rare condition.  It's 93 years old!
