About the style 3 Big Ben

The style 3 was the first
of the Big and Baby Bens
designed
by Henry Dreyfuss.
It was manufactured from 1931
until 1934,
making it the shortest run of
the Ben styles.

The style three was the first model designed
for Westclox by Henry Dreyfuss. Considered by many to
be the classic Ben style, although it had the shortest run.
If not for it's run during the depression and that the peg
leg style was still being made, this clock may have been
manufactured for many many more years. The movement has a
soft ticking sound and a loud alarm. This is the first
Westclox model to feature the "Chime Alarm" movement.
The alarm starts off slowly and then progresses to a stedy
ring.. |

Condition:
This is wonderful example of the style 3.
The movement has been restored and
it runs and alarms as it should. This clock is EXCELLENT
overall, showing only minor indications of use.
The original paint and original dial are in rare condition.
